The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1998 with intake of 40 students, gradually the intake increased to 60 and currently we have intake of 120 students. The Department offers three Master degree in the specialization of M.E. Applied Electronics, M.E. Communication Systems and M.E. Medical Electronics. The Department is recognized by Anna University for Ph.D. level research. The department has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi [Tier II, 2018-2019 to 2020-2021, 2021-2022]. We are fortunate to be center of choice for most of the stakeholders in this region. The Department has experienced and committed faculty members with vast research experience to impart quality education, project guidance, personality development and mentoring. The department has well equipped laboratories for imparting practical knowledge and improves the skills of the students. The classrooms are equipped with ICT facilities to engage the students in an interactive way. Students are provided the entire required platform for their overall development in sports, cultural, curricular, technical & regular academics. I am pleased to share that our students are consistently excelling in their placement process in highly reputed companies like TCS, Soft Square, Tech Mahindra, Hexaware Technologies, etc. The main focus is to make the students blossom into meritorious and self-disciplined engineers by smart work. The students and faculties are free to access the internet, which enables them to prepare papers on the latest technologies to be presented in various symposia, seminars & conferences. In order to exhibit the talents of the Students, Association of ELECTROS is actively organizing special lectures, seminars, workshops, symposium and conferences. The comments and suggestions of the stakeholders are expected which will help us to move next level and provide us with encouragement and excellence.
