He has graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai in 1998. He obtained M.E degree in Applied Electronics from Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai in 2000. He completed MBA degree from Tamil Nadu Open University in 2010. He obtained Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering as a part-time scholar in Anna University, Chennai in 2018. He is in the teaching profession for more than twenty years. His areas of interest include Control System and Sensors. He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education and Society of EMC Engineers. He is a senior member of the IEEE, IEEE WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Education Society, IEEE Electron Devices Society, IEEE Photonics Society, IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology. He was a chairman of IEEE GOLD(Young Professional) Affinity Group, Madras Section during the period 2012 & 2013 and Treasurer, IEEE Madras Section during the period 2014 & 2015.

He is in the teaching profession for the past Seventeen years. His areas of interest include Electrical Drives and control, Smart Grid and soft Computing Techniques. She completed her Doctoral degree in September 2014 from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttrankhand, India under Ministry of Human Resource and Development Fellowship. She is in teaching profession for the past twelve years. She has many publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings. Her fields of interest include control system, artificial intelligence and renewable energy studies.
