Independence Day
Independence Day was celebrated in our college premises on 15-08-2018. Our Correspondent Rev.Fr.Dr.M.Maria william hoisted the National Flag. Our Principal Dr.S.Joseph Sekar gave a special address on that occasion
Flood Relief Work
During Auguest 2018 our YRC members along with NSS and NCC members collected the utility materials from xavieran’s and paid visit to kerala one of the most affected areas of Kerala Flood during the flood season on 23.08.2018.
Blood Donation awareness
A seminar in awareness of Blood Donation was conducted for the first year BE/B.Tech. Students on 05th and 06th September 2018 in our College by the officials from YRC Dr.M.Vijayakumar, Programme Officer of YRC delivered a special talk to the participants.
Deworming Day
Worm infections can cause anemia, malnourishment, impaired mental and physical development which may cause a serious threat to students, health, education, and productivity. According to a study, the infected students cannot concentrate on their studies and they find very hard to put up their daily activities. So our college Youth Red Cross in association with Tamil Nadu public Health Department organized a National Deworming Day on 10th September 2018 for the students in the age group of 17-19 around 546 albendazole tablets were distributed to the students for dewormed
Blood Donation
Our youth red cross associated with Kanyakumari Medical College Hospital, Asaripallam has conducted a blood donation camp on 13-10-2018.The function started at 9.15 am with a prayer. Rev.Fr.Dr.M.Maria William, Correspondent, SXCCE inaugurated the function with an inaugural speech. Our principal Dr. V. Christus Jeya Singh felicitated the gathering after the inaugural speech. Our chief guest Dr.Carolin geetha, Blood bank director, kanyakumari medical college hospital, asaripallam and Dr.Divya de jobis, Kanyakumari Medical College Hospital, Asaripallam addressed the gathering about the awareness of blood donation. 124 students participated in the camp and 110 students have donated blood to the kanyakumari medical college blood bank.
Students and staff from our College donated 09 units of Blood to the poor and needy patients during the report year
