The Youth Red Cross is the most important constituent of its mother organization, Indian Red Cross. It is a group movement organized for student in Colleges and Technical institutions.
Installation
We started the activities for the year 2016-2017 with an installation meeting on 12.08.2016 in the presence of Youth Red Cross Programme officer.The student office bearers are A.Bamdino ,Secretary,H.Safano ,Joint Secretry and S.Sonali .
Independence Day
Independence Day was celebrated in our college premises on 15-08-2016. Our Correspondent Rev.Fr.Dr.M.Maria william hoisted the National Flag. Our Principal Dr.S.Joseph Sekar gave a special address on that occasion.
Republic Day
Republic Day was celebrated on 26-01-2017 and our Correspondent Rev. Fr.Dr.M.Maria William hoisted the National Flag. Our Principal Dr.S.Joseph Sekar felicitated the gathering
National Deworming Day
Worm infections can cause anemia, malnourishment, impaired mental and physical development which may cause a serious threat to students, health, education, and productivity. According to a study, the infected students cannot concentrate on their studies and they find very hard to put up their daily activities. So our college Youth Red Cross in association with Tamil Nadu public Health Department organized a National Deworming Day on 15th February 2017 for the students in the age group of 17-19 around 976 albendazole tablets were distributed to the students for dewormed.
Blood Donation
Students and staff from our College donated 26 units of Blood to the poor and needy patients during the report year.
