Health care and hygienic
In part of our Student Induction Program (SIP) based on Universal Human Values (UHV) has been conducted from 7/11/22 to 17/11/22. During the programme the Health care cell was arranged the Health and hygienic session were conducted by the professor (Mrs. Vinitha Sterlin and Mrs.A.Amalit Vimal) of St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing around 500 students can participated and benefited through the programme.
Mental and Emotional Wellbeing

Sports Day First-Aid
Date: 13/10/2022
Venue: SXCCE Ground
A team of 15 students and 7 staff members of our Health car cell gave first aid to the needed students who participated in the sports day which was held on 13-10-2022.
Food festival First-Aid
Date: 26/01/2023 to 28/01/2023
Venue: St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering
A team of 15 students and 4 staff members of our Health care cell and one Nurse from our St.Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing gave first aid medical support to the needed people who have participated in the Food festival conducted on 26th January 2023 to 28th January 2023 in our campus. Thus the arrival of the Nurse on the three days was very much helpful.
ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-2022
Health awareness program & Medical camp
The Health awareness program along with a Medical campwas conductedon 18-05-2022 in the Rock Auditorium by a team of three doctors and eight supporting staff members.This program was organized by Health care cell, AroundTwo hundredstudents of BE ECE,CSE, Civil and IT attended the meeting along with the staff members. The meeting started with the prayer song and the welcome address was given by Dr.S.V.Kayalvizhi. The Principal Dr. M. Maheswaranaddressed the meeting and gave health care tips to students. He also explained the importance of proper diet and sleep.Dr.Mathan, MBBS, MD, FICM explained the First aid methods to be done during emergency situations. Dr.Narasimman,MBBS, MD(RD), FIVR explained about the symptoms and root cause of Stroke. Dr.Mathumitha,MBBS, MD, DNB gave awareness about the adolescence problems and the way to handle them effectively. A quiz program was conducted by the doctors about health care and the students who responded positively are awarded by prizes contributed by PTA executive committee.The meeting ended at 12.45p.m. with vote of thanks byMs.S.A.Anuja, convener of Health care cell.
Followed by the Health awareness program, Medical Camp was conducted for the students and staff members of SXCCE. Around 58 students and staff members utilized the camp and got benefited.
COVID- 19 VACCINATION CAMP
As directed by the Government of India. The COVID-19 Vaccination camp was conducted on August 30 in our college campus. The camp was supported by St.Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing.
Our faculty, Students and also the people from nearby village get vaccinated. Around 110 people get benefited.
ADOLESCENT HEALTH –AWERNSESS PROGRAMM
Our college nurse Mrs.Nesa Hilda conducted an awareness program based on Adolescent Health for our first year students. The program was held from 08/11/2021 to 19/11/2021 during the Induction program.
MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
In collaboration with Health care cell Professors of Dr.Kumaraswamy Health Centre and College of Nursing, Kanyakumari visited the campus on 11/11/2021 and 16/11/2021. They gave awareness and enacted First aid procedures to the first year students. Around 450 students got benefited out of this programme.

COVID-19 Preventive Measures
As directed by the Government of India. The COVID-19 Protective measures have been done by our College, Through Health Care Cell .Posters and Pamphlets were being distributes. The Health Care Cell staff Members Strictly Instructed the students to wear mask and to maintain social distancing inside the campus.
WEBINAR – Save the Youth against the Menace of Tobacco
Around 10 staff members and 15 students of various Departments have been attended the Webinar on save the Youth against the Menace of Tobacco Conducted by KIET-Group of Institutions, Delhi- NCR, and get Certificates. The Webinar took an Initiative to spread awareness among the students and teachers of all Educational institutes about the perils of Tobacco. This National Live Webinar is being arranged in association with ICanCare.

Health Care Cell in association with Kanyakumari Government Medical College Asaripallam have arranged a “Blood Donation Camp On 20/09/2019 in the Rock Hostel Auditorium at 9.00am.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP &CA PROGRAMME
As directed by the organizing committee of Entrepreneurship and CA Programme Our Health care cell has to been arranged 2 Nurses from St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing were called. Their presence on 14 /09/2019 in the dispensary was very much Help full.
WIN-MECH
Industry Collaboration of Anna University in Association with Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India (RNTBCI).Our Health care cell is to be arranged an Ambulance and 2 Nurses from St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing were called. Their presence on 19 /10/2019 in the dispensary was very much pleasing.
INFOSYS PLACEMENT DRIVE
Infosys Placement Drive programme conducted by Anna university On 19/12/2019 in the programme Our health care cell joined with St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Nursing to provide medical support and First aid to the needed students from outside colleges.

CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM
A cancer awareness program was conducted by Mr.S.Senthil Kumar,from Sree Ram Cancer Trust, Aasaripallam, Nagercoil for all the IT students. The session was conducted separately for girls and boys, for the purpose of creating awareness of Cancer among students so that they may contribute to fight against fatal disease of cancer.

Awareness program on Harmful Effects of Mobile Phones among Student was conducted by Asst Prof.S.Jasmine Suguna, Department of Management Studies on that Program 53 MBA Students were Participated.
Medical Check-up for Hil Tech Employees
A Medical Check-up on 23/02/2019. By Dr.Ponmuthu Rani Vijayetha Annai Medical Centre.for Hil Tech Employees to upgrade them from temporary to permanent cader.

A campus cleaning programme was conducted by students of Mechanical Engineering on 05th September, 2017 at the College campus especially in the Mechanical Department and its surroundings to prevent mosquitoes causing Dengue.

Seminar On” Build Your Awareness” By Health Care Cell
On 19/09/2017 a seminar was conducted by Asst Prof.S.Jasmine Suguna, Department of Management Studies from health care cell on “build your awareness”. The II and III the MCA students participated on the seminar.
Free Dental Checkup and Awareness Camp
A free dental checkup and Awareness camp was conducted on 14/10/2017. Dr.Amalarajan BDS and Dr.Nisha BDS from Amal Dental Clinc ,Thacklay conducted the dental screening and and gave awareness on dental hygiene . A total of 75 students and staffs were benefited by this program.
Food is a Medicine but Medicine is not a Food
Seminar on Unava Marunthu was conducted for final year Civil Department students on 30/12/12017 by Berlin Raj and Nagarajan M.S of final year students, more than 50 students are attended in the seminar.
