Achievements 2022–2023

1. Our college is the Zonal Coordinating Centre for Anna University Sports Board Zone 19 for the Academic Year 2022–23.
2. Our college conducted a zonal Physical Directors meeting on 26/10/2022 for Zone-19. Twenty members were present regarding preparation of the zonal sports calendar.
3. Our Director of Physical Education (Zone-19 Sports Secretary) attended a meeting conducted by Anna University Sports Board on 28/10/2022 at Anna University, Chennai.
4. Our college annual sports meet was held on 13/10/2022 and was inaugurated by Mr. S. Rajesh, M.P.Ed., NIS, District Sports & Youth Welfare Officer, Nagercoil.
5. Our college Table Tennis Team won the Silver Medal in the Anna University Zone-19 Table Tennis Tournament held at Stella Marry College of Engineering, Nagercoil on 02/11/2022.
6. Our college Women Badminton Team won the Silver Medal in the Anna University Zone-19 Badminton Tournament held at St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering on 04/11/2022.
7. Our college Men Badminton Team participated in the Anna University Zone-19 Badminton Tournament held at St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering on 05/11/2022.
8. Our college Men Kabaddi Team participated in the Anna University Zone-19 Kabaddi Tournament held at PET College of Engineering on 07/11/2022.
9. Our college Women Basketball Team won Fourth Place in the Anna University Zone-19 Basketball Tournament held at St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering on 11/11/2022.
10. Our college Men Basketball Team won Third Place in the Anna University Zone-19 Basketball Tournament held at Amrita College of Engineering, Nagercoil on 14/11/2022 & 16/11/2022.
11. Our college Men Football Team participated in the Anna University Zone-19 Football Tournament held at MET College of Engineering on 17/11/2022.
12. Our student Jashni Christina Castro S V (IV Year Civil) won Gold Medals in Shot Put and Discus Throw at the Anna University Zone-19 Athletic Meet held at Loyola Institute of Technology on 23/11/2022.
13. Our student Joshi Sieana E (IV Year Mech) won the Silver Medal in 800m and Third Place in 200m at the Anna University Zone-19 Athletic Meet held at Loyola Institute of Technology on 23/11/2022.
14. Our student J (II Year CSE) won the Silver Medal in Shot Put at the Anna University Zone-19 Athletic Meet held at Loyola Institute of Technology on 23/11/2022.
15. Our student Maxminush X (II Year ECE) won the Silver Medal in High Jump and Third Place in Long Jump at the Anna University Zone-19 Athletic Meet held at Loyola Institute of Technology on 23/11/2022.
16. Our college Women Chess Team won Third Place in the Anna University Zone-19 Chess Tournament held at Amrita College of Engineering, Nagercoil on 24/11/2022.
17. Our college Men Chess Team won Fourth Place in the Anna University Zone-19 Chess Tournament held at Amrita College of Engineering, Nagercoil on 24/11/2022.
18. Our college Cricket Team participated in the Anna University Zone-19 Cricket Tournament held at Loyola Institute of Technology on 17/11/2022.
19. Our college Men Ball Badminton Team won Fourth Place in the Anna University Zone-19 Ball Badminton Tournament held at Marthandam College of Engineering on 28/11/2022 & 05/12/2022.
20. Our college Physical Director was one of the selection committee members for the Anna University Football Team selection held at Adhiyaman College of Engineering, Hosur on 18/12/2022 & 19/12/2022.
21. Our college Physical Director was one of the selection committee members for the Anna University Wushu Men & Women Team selection held at Kumaraguru College of Engineering, Coimbatore on 21/01/2023.
22. Our student Anand S (IV Year CSE) won the Gold Medal in the Anna University Power Lifting Competition under 93 Kg category held at Paavai Engineering College, Salem on 30/10/2022 & 31/01/2023. He was selected to represent Anna University in the All India Inter-University Power Lifting Tournament held at Guru Kashi University, Punjab from 21/02/2023 to 24/02/2023.
23. An International FIDE-rated Rapid and Blitz Chess Tournament was conducted on 13th and 14th May 2023 in our college.
24. On November 15, 2022, the Chess Club conducted a practice session for the zonal tournament.
25. On September 17, 2022, the Chess Club conducted a seminar on "Chess Basics". Mr. Ephrem (International Chief Arbiter) was the resource person.
26. The SXCCE Chess Club was inaugurated on 19th June 2022 by Honorable Minister Mr. T. Mano Thangaraj, Minister for Information Technology, Tamil Nadu.
