Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded by the Government and other organizations to the students of desired ability and eligibility.

Adi-Dravidar Welfare Scholarship

Granted by the Adi-Dravidar and Welfare Department to SC/ST and other eligible communities of Tamil Nadu based on financial need.

Backward / Most-Backward Class Scholarships

Offered to eligible students of Backward and Most-Backward classes in Tamil Nadu by the Backward Class Welfare Department.

National Scholarship Portal (NSP)

Includes Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, and Merit-cum-Means scholarships for Minority students. Apply at www.scholarships.gov.in.

State Scholarships for Children of School Teachers

Provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu to support collegiate education of children of all working teachers.

Tamil Nadu Educational Trust Scholarship

Awarded to meritorious students by the Tamil Nadu Educational Trust.

Ministry of Labour – Beedi Workers

Scholarships sanctioned by the Assistant Welfare Commissioner for children of Beedi workers.

NHFDC Scholarships

Financial support for empowerment of persons with disabilities through the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation.

College Free Seat Scholarships

50 scholarships for poor but meritorious students and 6 additional scholarships for meritorious Dalit students.

Pragathi Scholarship

Available only for female students admitted to the first year of degree programs.

SAKSHAM Scholarship

For differently-abled students with more than 40% disability (First year Degree Programs only).

First Graduate Scholarship

Launched in 2010–2011 for students selected through government counseling. Not applicable for management quota students.
