Installation

YRC Inauguration was held on 4th September 2025. The Inauguration ceremony began with a welcome dance and a prayer song. The dignitaries on the dais inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. The gathering was welcomed by Ms. Y. Safrin Fathima, Secretary, student of Women Cell. Vice Principal Dr. V Christs Jeya Singh gave an introductory talk about the Non-Professional Cell. The faculty advisor and the Office bearers of the Women Cell for the academic year 2025-2026 were introduced, continued by the photo session. Our Principal Dr. J. Maheswaran felicitated the gathering and highlighted the importance of non-professional cells. Fine Arts Club Student entertained the gathering with a song. Our Correspondent Rev.Fr. S Godwin Selva Justus presided over the function; he shared his ideas and explained the difference between the Professional and the Non-Professional cells. The program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Mr. R. Sanjai, Chairperson of Tamil Mandram, followed by College Anthem.

Independence Day Celebrations (15-08-2026)

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated in our college premises on 15th August, 2025. The celebration started with March Past by NCC students. Our Correspondent Rev.Fr.S.Godwin Selva Justus hoisted the National Flag and followed by Pledge

First Aid & Emergency Care Training Program 27-09-2025

The First Aid and Emergency Care Training Program was successfully organized to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in handling medical emergencies. The program emphasized the importance of timely response and the correct use of first aid techniques to save lives.

Seminar Transformation with Honesty 18-10-2025

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) unit of St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering organized a seminar on “Transformation with Honesty” on 18th October 2025. The programme commenced with a heartfelt prayer song, setting a positive tone for the session. This was followed by a welcome address, extending warm greetings to the dignitaries and participants.

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Awareness Program 27-10-2026

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Awareness Week was observed in our institution from 27th October 2025 to 2nd November 2025 with the theme “Promoting Integrity, Transparency, and Accountability.”

Republic Day Celebrations

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated in our college premises on 26th January 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The celebration began with a march past by NCC Cadets. Our Correspondent, Rev. Fr. S. Godwin Selva Justus, hoisted the National Flag, followed by the Pledge, Flag Song, and the Preamble of the Constitution.

Anti-Drug and Suicide Prevention Campaign 21-02-2026

The Youth Red Cross Unit of St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering, Nagercoil, organized an Anti-Drug and Suicide Prevention Awareness Programme with the objective of sensitizing students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of mental health awareness. The programme aimed to encourage healthy lifestyles, responsible decision-making, and timely support for individuals facing emotional distress.

Blood donation camp 17-03-2026

On March 17, 2026, the YRC, NSS, and NCC organised a blood donation camp at SXCCE in collaboration with the Gov. Medical College Hospital, Asaripallam to create awareness blood donation and significance of knowing the importance of human life.

Dr. N. Sheen Kumar received the Best Blood Donation Camp Appreciation state Award from Honorable Health Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ma. Subramaniam. on 10.10.2025
