About Green9 EnSAv Club

EnSAv (Energy Saving Awareness) Club focuses on bringing about a first-hand realization of the energy crisis and scarcity of natural resources in the country. With the increasing demand for energy, effective management and conservation of the same has become the need of the hour.

Recognizing the immense value Professional Students can bring to the initiative, GREEN9 started the EnSAv Club to propagate efficient usage of energy and to educate the society on climate change issues in the forthcoming years.

The club provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and concern towards energy conservation and the importance of implementing renewable sources. As students, parents, and teachers are sensitized towards these issues, activities are undertaken to present ideas for energy conservation—acknowledging that “energy can neither be created, nor be destroyed”.

Launched with a mission to engage the future of our country, the program goes beyond awareness, empowering students to take responsible actions. Today, along with energy conservation, students are educated about resource scarcity and the impact of CO₂ emissions.

Major Focus

• To produce skilled Energy Engineers through EnSAv Club - CEnA (Certified Energy Ambassador)
• To align activities with UN Sustainable Development Goals 7 & 13
• To reduce the carbon footprint by conducting energy audits and reducing energy demand
• To design, develop, and implement innovative products for energy efficiency
• To promote energy-saving and renewable energy awareness to the general public

Objectives

• To encourage students to design and develop innovative energy products that increase energy efficiency
• To raise residents’ awareness of home energy conservation and promote attitude changes
• To promote participation in the UN DESA #igenenergy99challenge and the IGEN SDG Action Award
• To encourage village adoption programs, raise conservation awareness, and designate villages as ENSAVER villages
