GATE 2025 Mock Test 01-11-2025
The GATE Mock Test 2025 took place as scheduled on January 11, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Civil Drawing Hall. A total of 57 students appeared for the mock test, with 2 students attempting two GATE papers, resulting in 59 answer sheets. The department-wise student participation was as follows: CSE: 30/36, ECE: 5/16, EEE: 2/16, IT: 5/14, Mechanical: 7/19, Civil: 5/7. Out of the 118 students registered for GATE 2025, 57 participated in the mock test.
Orientation on GATE to Second Year Students 03-05-2024
An orientation session about GATE exam has been conducted for the Second year CSE-A students on 03-05-2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Dr. A. Jegatheesh was the resource person. 36 students participated and learned about the benefits of GATE exam in getting PSU jobs and higher studies at National Institutes.
Seminar on Career Guidance to GATE Aspirants 18-04-2024
A seminar has been organized by GATE Training Cell to the Third year GATE 2024 appeared students and GATE Scorers. This session focused on the career opportunities based on GATE scores on 18-04-2024 from 10: 45 AM to 12: 15 PM Dr. A. Jegatheesh, Managing Director of ALC Academy, Nagercoil was the resource person. The students got an idea about employability options in PSU jobs based on GATE score.
GATE Orientation to First Year Students 07-03-2024, 09-03-2024, and on 11-03-2024
An orientation session about GATE exam has been conducted for all the first year students on 07-03-2024, 09-03-2024, and on 11-03-2024 from 2: 45 PM to 4: 15 PM Dr. V. Christus Jeya Singh and Dr. Suja A. Alex were the resource persons. The students learned about the benefits of GATE exam in getting PSU jobs and higher studies at National Institutes.
GATE Orientation 20-09-2023
An orientation regarding the GATE exam was organized for the students by the resource person Mr. B. Ebeneser, Certified Career Analyst and Career Development Coach, Helping Stone Life, and Career Development Coach, Nagercoil. The event was organized on 20-09-2023 at the Einstein Seminar Hall, D-Block from 10:45 AM to 12:45 PM. The resource person gave awareness on GATE exam. He discussed how to break the myth about GATE and career opportunities after GATE and also its benefits in higher studies. Overall, 134 students participated and benefited from this training.
Seminar on GATE Orientation to First Year Students 25-05-2023
An orientation regarding the GATE exam was organized for the students by the resource person Dr. A. Jegatheesh, Managing Director of ALC Academy, Nagercoil. The event was organized on 25-05-2023 at the respective classrooms from 10:30 AM to 4:15 PM. The resource person gave awareness on GATE exam. He discussed how to break the myth about GATE and career opportunities after GATE and also its benefits in higher studies. Overall, 115 first year students participated and benefited from this training.
Training on GATE2023 Tips and Guidelines 03-02-2023
A training was organized to the registered students of GATE2023 by the resource person Dr. A. Jegatheesh, Managing Director of ALC Academy, Nagercoil. The event was organized on 03-02-2023 at the IV-year CSE-B class room from 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM. The resource person gave the basic tips and guidelines to be followed during the GATE exam. He discussed shortcuts in engineering mathematics and different approaches for same question. He also gave an awareness about GATE and its related benefits in higher studies, JRF, Jobs in government sectors. Overall, 61 students participated and benefited in this training.
Two Day FDP on Teaching for GATE 04-01-2023 and 06-01-2023
The FDP was organized for teaching staff interested in motivating students for the GATE exam, including department coordinators. It was held on January 4th and 6th, 2023, with a formal meeting presided over by Rev. Fr. M. Maria William. The sessions covered awareness of competitive exams, motivation strategies, engineering mathematics shortcuts, and general aptitude by Dr. A. Jegatheesh, Managing Director of ALC Academy, Nagercoil. Special training on using the fx-991 MS calculator was also provided, with 25 and 23 staff members attending on the first and second days, respectively.
