COURSE OVERVIEW

The course is to teach students the concepts of Building Information Modeling and introduce the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit Architecture.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Upon successful completion of the course, participants should be able to understand the stages of the Building Information Modeling concepts describe the benefits of Building Information Modeling.
• Understand the tools required to accomplish the BIM concepts.
• Improve the architect’s or Engineer’s real work and make the building better.
• Understand the functionalities under the building life cycle.
• Create Building information modeling solutions.

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Basic Computer Knowledge

COURSE MODULES

Module 1: Introduction to Building Information Modeling

Module 2: Revit Architecture Basic

Module 3: The Basics of the Building Model

Module 4: Loading Additional Building Components

Module 5: Viewing the Building Model

Module 6: Using Dimensions and Constraints

Module 7: Developing the Building

Module 8: Detailing and Drafting

Module 9: Construction Documentation

Module 10: Presenting the Building.

PROJECT WORK

Participants are required to do a project work as a part of the program.  The project work should be done in groups, with 4 or 5 participants in a group
