 Most Rev. Dr. Albert Anastas, was born on December 16, 1966, in Manavilai in Kanyakumari District. He was ordained as Bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Kuzhithurai on Febrauary 22, 2024. He studied philosophy at Christ Hall Seminary in Madurai and Theology at St. Paul’s Seminary in Tiruchirapalli. He was ordained as priest on April 26, 1992 for the Diocese of Kottar. He held various positions such as Parish Priest, Parish Administrator, Prefect of studies, Animator of Christ Hall Seminary, Secretary of the Christian Life Commission, Director of the rural motivation program, Member of the College of Consultors, Vicar Forane and Professor at St. Paul’s Seminary, Tiruchirapalli.
